Having passion in life is like having a glowing lamp in the dark which guides you with its light throughout the path of life, for me its Dance: my only passion. With the emergence of recreation into my life, I got to witness a perfect blend of structure and creativity. For some people this combo of recreation management and choreography might seem like an atypical one but for me, as a recreation manager and choreographer, I’ve found a way to merge my passion for dance with my organizational skills, creating enriching and amusing series of experiences for my community.

Dance has been a core part of mine from my childhood. I was so into dance that I always used to dance by watching dancing tutorials on you tube, watching dancing reality shows on television and participating in the underground dance battles. Even in my school times I was more into these activities then study and academics. My passion for dancing never blurred and I ended up in the world of recreation management which led me to a new milestone of this journey.

After my 12th, I didn’t pursue any graduation and aimed for my passion of dance. This milestone of my journey had taken me through many ups and downs. I did a diploma in dance and became a dance choreographer in GD Goenka International School from which I had completed my 12th. I joined it in 2017 and worked for 3 years till 2020. Over the course of 2020, I took part in an audition for "India's Talent Fight" thanks to the divine intervention and my parents' blessings, I was eventually chosen and progressed to the semi-finals.

After this my life took a new phase towards a new milestone of my journey and I got an offer from Mahindra Holiday’s and Resort to join in the field of recreation and my professional corporate journey kick-off and I became a Recreation Associate in the year of 2021. Then I moved forward and got into Radisson BLU Hotel & SPA Alibag Mumbai as a Recreation Executive and after that in Hyatt Centric Goa as a Recreation Manager.

Recreation is more defined like an activity of leisure, is an essential element of human biology and psychology. Recreational activities are often done for enjoyment, amusement and pleasure and considered to be fun, which includes numerous activities such as yoga, dance, singing, DJ, trekking, and many more. Its more like a leisure department, where your talent and creativity come out and left people with splendid memories. It is for all age groups people; people from toddlers to senior people.

With the addition of recreation into my life, I learned many things in this journey and its still going on.I do not only focus on formal works but also aim to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests ensuring their satisfaction and safety. I have a knack for hosting, managing recreational facilities and fostering positive working relationships.

Despite the demanding nature of the job, I felt something is off- my passion for dance, to continue it, I choreographed dance shows for the performances to the team and set different entertaining shows for the guests to have a memorable and magical stay in accordance to the culture and lifestyle of that particular hotel and its location respectively.

I believe in bringing smiles and laughter to the people of all ages as fun is an essential for all people. Being a versatile entertainer; a dance choreographer, DJ, and organizer of fun team-building activities; my diverse skill set includes different entertaining events hosting, and DJ for corporate and social events.

Balancing my role as a Recreation Manager and Choreographer required a unique set of skills. On the managerial side, I handle budgeting, staff coordination, logistical planning, managing and coordinating activities, events and team-building experiences. Let alone these, I play a crucial role in my field for creating experience, and for the revenue generation for the company, I bring wealth of expertise gained from roles at renowned hospitality establishments. As a choreographer, I prepare dance shows for the performances and enhance my dancing skills whenever I got time into my hands. This duality allow me to stay organised and balanced while expressing my creativity.

Throughout the journey of dance and dedication towards my work I achieved many manoeuvres which motivated me to go on further for more, my proudest achievement is the fame I received when I participated in the reality show India's Fight Talent (Zee channel) where i progressed as a semi-finalist. Later I got awarded by Indian Star Personality award in 2020, awarded by Uttarakhand Icon Award in 2020, awarded as Best Dance Choreography in Goa, awarded by FSIA Forever Star India Award as the Real Superheroes Award in 2023, awarded by Zeitgeist Art Foundation Award 2023 in the field of dance and choreography, and the most prominent award as the Young Achiever of the year in World Business Conclave 2024 organized by Global Triumph Foundation.

Balancing both the responsibilities wasn't always easy as there were times when the administrative duties and work consumed all my time and left me with very small room for creativity but it helped me in learning to manage my time efficiency and delegate the tasks. The support of my team and watching the progress of growth of participants and their success kept me motivated and contented. This experience has taught me a lot; the importance of flexibility and renovation  in the work. With the fusion of recreation management and my passion for dance I acquired unique set of skills which helped me in balancing the organizational work and my zeal for my passion not only this moreover  I was able to perform multiple tasks in a given period of time making me a multitasking person and  understanding that pursuing multiple task can lead to a more successful, fulfilling and impactful career.

Today, I continue to proliferate in my roles, continuously seeking new ways to innovate and inspire through recreation and dance. My journey as a Recreation Manager and Choreographer has demonstrated and witnessed that with passion, dedication, and perseverance, it’s possible to create a career that fulfills the gap between structure, management, and creativity. Embracing and adoring different interests and skills has not only enriched my professional life but has also brought joy and enrichment to my community. If there's one lesson I've learned, it's to embrace and refine your diverse interests and use them to carve out a niche that is uniquely yours.
